On Wednesday, May 6, 2026, Partners in Education welcomed community leaders, business partners, educators, and supporters to our annual Year-End Celebration held at the Central Baptist Church Gymnasium.
The morning was filled with connection, reflection, and celebration as guests gathered over breakfast to recognize the impact that partnerships continue to make across Douglas County schools.
Throughout the event, PIE highlighted accomplishments from the past school year and celebrated the people and organizations who consistently go above and beyond to support students, teachers, and school communities.

Recognizing Outstanding Partners
One of the most meaningful parts of the morning was recognizing this year’s award recipients for their dedication and service.
Ambassador of the Year Award
This year’s Ambassador of the Year Award was presented to Corlissa Wilson, counselor at Annette Winn Elementary School.
Corlissa Wilson has been a strong advocate for students and a valuable supporter of partnership efforts that positively impact her school community.
Partner of the Year Award
The Partner of the Year Award was presented to His Boots on the Ground for their continued commitment to supporting local schools and students in meaningful ways.
We are grateful for partners who consistently invest their time, resources, and energy into helping strengthen our schools and community.
Thank You to Our Sponsors and Supporters
PIE would like to extend a special thank you to our event sponsor, Georgia Power, whose support helped make this celebration possible.
We would also like to thank our event host, Central Baptist Church, for welcoming us into their space, as well as Atlanta's Finest Catering for providing breakfast for attendees.
Looking Ahead
As we reflect on another successful year, we are reminded that meaningful partnerships continue to create lasting impact in Douglas County schools.
From mentoring students and supporting teachers to sponsoring events and creating opportunities for connection, our PIE partners play an important role in helping students succeed.
Thank you to everyone who continues to support the mission of Partners in Education. We look forward to another year of working together to serve Douglas County schools and our community.
