Celebrate National Pizza Month and Support DCSS Students with PIE4PIE
October is National Pizza Month, and Partners in Education of Douglas County has a pretty good reason to celebrate. This year, ordering pizza can also help support students right here in the Douglas County School System.
Partners in Education and Papa Johns are once again working together through PIE4PIE, a year-long partnership that turns everyday pizza orders into support for local students.

How PIE4PIE Works
The idea is simple.
When customers place an order with Papa Johns online or by phone and use promo code PIE4PIE, 20% of qualifying sales are donated to Partners in Education.
The current campaign runs from August 1, 2026 through June 30, 2027, giving our community plenty of opportunities throughout the school year to turn pizza night into an easy way to give back.
There is no additional donation to make. Just remember one code when it's time to order:
PIE4PIE
More Than Just Pizza
The partnership between Papa Johns and PIE is a great example of what Partners in Education is all about: connecting community resources with the needs of our schools and students.
Papa Johns partnered with PIE during the previous academic year using the same PIE4PIE model, donating 20% of qualifying sales generated with the promotional code. The Douglas County School System promoted the partnership throughout the school year as an initiative designed to help feed DCSS students.
And the partnership has continued to grow beyond the promo code.
Papa Johns recently donated $750 worth of coupons to the Douglas County School System's Homeless Division. Those coupons were provided to families experiencing food insecurity, offering another practical way to help meet the needs of students and their families.
These efforts demonstrate something we see again and again through PIE: a business doesn't have to change what it does to make a difference.
Sometimes the most meaningful partnerships happen when a business looks at the resources it already has and asks, "How can we use this to help our schools?"
Why Food Support Matters
Academic success doesn't begin and end in the classroom. When students and families are facing challenges such as food insecurity, community partnerships can help schools address needs that may otherwise create barriers to learning.
Douglas County School System leaders have also emphasized the importance of supporting students beyond instruction and addressing needs such as food insecurity through community partnerships.
That's one reason partnerships like PIE4PIE are so valuable. They give the entire community an easy way to participate.
Celebrate National Pizza Month with a Purpose
National Pizza Month has been celebrated every October for more than four decades, making this month the perfect opportunity to support PIE4PIE.
Ordering lunch for the office?
Having a family pizza night?
Feeding everyone before the Friday night football game?
Remember to use PIE4PIE when you order from Papa Johns.
Each qualifying order helps generate additional support for Partners in Education and our work with Douglas County students.
And while one pizza order may seem like a small gesture, that's exactly how community partnerships work: when all of us do a little, together we can accomplish a lot.
