A Day in Their Shoes: Recapping PIE's 2026 Principal 4 A Day Event
Updated: 44 minutes ago
On Thursday, October 29, Partners in Education of Douglas County hosted our annual Principal 4 A Day event, bringing local business leaders and community partners into Douglas County schools for a firsthand look at what it takes to lead a school.
We had a fantastic turnout, with 11 community partners spending the morning alongside principals throughout the Douglas County School System!
Principal 4 A Day is one of our favorite events because it gives our partners something they can't get from a meeting or presentation: an opportunity to step inside our schools, connect with educators, and experience the school environment firsthand.
A Behind-the-Scenes Look at Our Schools
Throughout the morning, participating PIE Partners had the opportunity to spend time with school principals, gaining a better understanding of their daily responsibilities, the challenges they navigate, and the work happening throughout their schools.
From supporting teachers and staff to creating opportunities for student success, principals play an important role in shaping the school experience.
For our community partners, this event provides valuable insight into how their businesses and organizations can support that work.
And that's exactly why we love hosting Principal 4 A Day!

Why Events Like This Matter
At Partners in Education, our mission is to connect community resources with our schools to help students succeed.
But meaningful partnerships begin with understanding.
Principal 4 A Day allows business leaders and community partners to see our schools from a different perspective. Rather than simply hearing about school needs, participants have the opportunity to connect directly with the people working to meet those needs every day.
These experiences help build stronger relationships, encourage collaboration, and inspire new ideas for how local businesses and organizations can get involved.
Whether it's sharing professional expertise, volunteering, providing resources, or supporting school programs, the possibilities for meaningful partnerships are endless.
Thank You to Our Principals and PIE Partners!
We want to extend a special thank you to all 11 participating principals for welcoming our community partners into their schools and sharing a glimpse of the important work they do each day.
And to our PIE Partners, thank you for taking time away from your businesses, organizations, and busy schedules to invest in Douglas County schools.
Your willingness to show up, listen, learn, and build relationships is what makes Partners in Education so special.
We are grateful for another successful Principal 4 A Day event and look forward to seeing the connections made during these visits continue to grow.
